Editorial independence

Product inclusion, label interpretation, and editorial recommendations are not sold. No manufacturer or retailer currently pays for coverage, placement, or ranking. If a future article is sponsored or contains commission-earning links, that relationship will be disclosed clearly where a reader encounters it. Source standards

Product facts are based on official manufacturer pages and package-label evidence. Guides distinguish database findings from general explanation or editorial judgment. Product pages show the original Japanese ingredient text, the date checked, and a link to the official product source so readers can inspect the evidence themselves. Retailer listings may help readers understand where products are generally sold, but do not replace official sources for ingredient or allergen claims.

Verification and uncertainty

Structured product records are validated before publication. Allergen claims retain supporting label evidence, and uncertain classifications are reported as “unable to determine” rather than converted into a confident yes or no. AI assistance and human responsibility

AI tools assist with working translation, research organization, and drafting. The site owner is responsible for what is published. AI-assisted English label drafts stay out of public product copy until a separate source review is recorded. A reviewed translation is published only while its recorded source URL, crawl timestamp, and SHA-256 fingerprint of the Japanese source payload still match the current product record. A mismatch returns the copy to pending review. Product pages retain the original Japanese label as the primary evidence, and AI output is not treated as an independent source.

Updates and dates

Guides display publication and modification dates. Product pages separately display when the source label was checked and when the page data was updated. Dates are changed only for substantive content or data revisions, not for cosmetic template edits. Because formulas and labels can change without notice, the physical package remains the final source for a purchase or allergy decision.

Corrections policy

Confirmed factual errors are corrected in the underlying product record or article, and the page’s modification date is advanced when the correction materially changes what a reader would understand. A public corrections inbox is not yet available; until it is launched, each product page links to its official manufacturer source so readers can identify stale label information. The site will publish the reporting channel here when it exists rather than presenting an unmonitored address.
