How Gohan Guide handles affiliate relationships and sponsored content, including the site's current no-affiliate status.

This site does not currently have any live affiliate links, sponsored content, or paid placements anywhere on the site. Every product page, shortlist, and guide reflects our own editorial judgment and the process described inhow we verify our data — nobody has paid to be included, excluded, or ranked more favorably.
What may change
We may add affiliate links in the future — for example, to Japanese snack and grocery retailers that ship internationally, so you can re-buy a furikake you liked after your trip. If and when we do, we'll update this page and put a plain-language statement next to the relevant recommendation and before its first purchase link—for example, “We may earn a commission if you buy through this link, at no extra cost to you.” Commission-earning links will use the appropriate sponsored-link attribute. A footer-only notice or the words “affiliate link” by themselves will not be treated as sufficient disclosure.
What won't change
No manufacturer, retailer, or advertiser can pay us for a favorable ingredient or allergen claim. That data comes from the process described inhow we verify our data, independent of any commercial relationship. Editorial shortlists and comparisons reflect our own judgment, not paid placement. We will not sell positions in an editorial list. A separately commissioned article or placement, if introduced, will be labelled “Sponsored” where readers encounter it and will not be presented as an independent ranking.
